Cay: Night of the iguana theft

One bunch of crooks in West Bay Road should have been pretty easy to spot... they would have been carrying a 7ft long, fibreglass iguana..

But police are still hunting the brazen bandits who made off with their bright-blue booty from the Ritz Carlton last week.

Before the kidnapping, April Bending had spent months painting, in fine intricate detail, the iguana she named 'I-Guana Celebrate… You Guana too?'. 

Once the job was complete, the iguana was no ordinary reptile. "He's dressed like a pirate. He has a headscarf and a sword, and a beautiful parrot on his shoulder. He's a very fine looking guy," explained Ms Bending. 

Nothing like a pirated iguana.
