A new party looking is to contest the next general elections constitutionally due in 2006.

The leader of the party is a well known former public servant during the then administration of John Compton – Ausbert D'Auvergne.

Mr. D'Auvergne says the national development movement was born out of the group's own perception of the state of the country

Mr. D'Auvergne says the group's focus is purely on the development of the country as its name suggests, and gave the assurance the NDM will not go the way of the national alliance which fell into disarray and eventual political history
