T&T: Black Muslim set for extradition to U.S.

Jamaat al Muslimeen member Clive Lancelot Small, aka Olive Enyahooma El, spent most of his birthday behind bars yesterday after Interpol officers arrested him on a provisional warrant.
...
Small, who sat side-by-side with Jamaat leader Imam Yasin Abu Bakr at TTT during the 1990 attempted coup, was then met by attorney Wayne Sturge.

The provisional warrants, which were later executed by Sgt Williams, charge Small with:

n conspiracy to possess machine guns and firearm silencers;

n possession of machine guns in violation of Title 18 of the US codes; and,

n possession of firearm silencers in violation of Title 26 of the US codes.
...
The AG’s office issued a release yesterday, saying Attorney General John Jeremie on March 2 gave the authority to proceed with the arrest of Small in light of the request of US Attorney General John Ashcroft.

Small was indicted by a US Grand Jury on May 23, 2002, on charges of “conspiracy to possess firearms and possession of firearms, contrary to the laws of the United States.”

The charges relate to an alleged attempt by Small in May, 2001, to import 60 AK-47 rifles and 10 Mac-10 machine guns with silencers into T&T.
Looks like Enyahooma El might have been planning another coup. Nobody uses AK-47s or Mac-10s for hunting. Why the Mac-10s with silencers? Was this to be a major Central Bank job, or the quieter commencement of another Black Muslim coup? Here's hoping he rots in a U.S. jail.
