Vzla: Chavez taking Jimmy Carter for a sucker

Former US President Jimmy Carter has met with Venezuela's democratically-elected President at the Miraflores Presidential Palace this Sunday morning and has surprised his entourage of North American media correspondents by telling them that President Hugo Chavez Frias is willing to face a recall referendum if his vociferous political opposition somehow manages to secure enough legitimate signatures to force the vote under clearly set out specifications in the nation's 1999 Constitution.

This is so rich in irony. I hope Carter, the perpetual naif, gets it.
