Atg: Antigua boy honored for work on robotics

Not affirmative action but good schooling at the lower level is foundation for achievements like this.
Top science and technology students from the UK were presented with the prestigious Sir William Siemens medal during a ceremony held at Roke Manor Research.

Among the 14 recognised by their universities for being the most outstanding students was Antiguan Branson Belle.

Belle is a past student of the Seventh Day Adventist school who pursued a degree in M.Eng. Electronic & Electrical Engineering at the University of Manchester.
