Bdos: Late to the dance
After the CaribPundit bust the mark over the weekend, the Barbados press are now realizing that the fishy oil dispute is not about fish. Here's this story from the Barbados Advocate which has been vigorously pro-Arthur. That's their right, but it's good to see a breath of fresh air from the Advocate.
The ongoing fishing dispute between Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados has nothing to do with what is on top of the sea, but rather, what is under the sea.
This is the contention of the president of Barbados National Union of the Fisherfolk Organisation, Angela Watson as she spoke with the Barbados Advocate yesterday.
According to Watson, “As you will notice that what the Deputy Prime Minister Mia Mottley had said on Tuesday, makes you realise that the dispute was never about fishing, the whole thing is to do with boundary delimitation and looking at oil and gas.”
