Cay: Reason not partisanship

Cayman Islanders don't seem to be fond of party politics.

The Caymanian tradition has never been one of the kind of democratic centralism that is at the heart of partisan systems such as are now in place here. This principle, with its collective responsibility implications, means that once a decision has been arrived at, supposedly after free internal discussion and consideration of divergent views, it is no longer open to dissent. All members are required to accept the applicability of these decisions and to subordinate their individuality to the majority.
