Cay: Squeezing of the press

Here and here. Cayman Net News had better look for alternative sources of revenue if it wishes to be truly insulated from government meddling. He who pays the piper calls the tune; surely the owners and editors of CNN know this.

At a time when the Government has gone to great extents to eliminate monopolies in the utilities industry, it seems incomprehensible that they would now throw the free market system out the window and subject their departments and statutory authorities to what amounts to a newspaper monopoly once again.

What seems to make much more sense is that certain individuals within our government do not approve of the way Cayman Net News reports the news, so they have used their powers to institute an economic siege with intent to silence their critics.
