DR: Taking aid from the IMF

The Dominican Republic has signed an agreement with the IMF. The president of the DR, Hippolito Mejia hopes the DR gets peace and stabilityfrom the agreement. The Opposition party's Leonel Fernandez sees the IMF as the lesser of two evils. The editor of Diario Libre seems to have more of a clue than either of these men, or at least he's more honest than either of them; he describes the IMF agreement as a bitter pill.
