T&T: Bas changed his mind

BASDEO PANDAY yesterday rescinded his decision to resign as leader of the Opposition United National Congress (UNC).

Following the UNC's defeat at the polls in October 2002, Panday said he would to quit politics because he was approaching his 70th birthday.

But yesterday during his address to a national congress of the UNC at Rienzi Complex, Couva, Panday said he had changed his mind.
