Bhms: Somebody either got very high or very rich
Fifty packets of cocaine went missing after the arrest and seizure of drugs found onboard the motor vessel Lorequin, the Commission of Inquiry heard Thursday from former police commissioner B.K. Bonamy.
Mr. Bonamy was commissioner of the Royal Bahamas Police Force in 1992 when the drugs allegedly disappeared while in the custody of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
He testified that he ordered an investigation into the matter and that the crew of the HMBS Inagua were considered suspects by the police.
However, he said, there was no evidence to exonerate or to charge the officers involved in the seizure.
