T&T: ALNG still on strike
Atlantic LNG opened its gates for workers yesterday morning, but no one dared to enter the site.
This, after strikers made veiled threats to their colleagues, warning that they should not accept the proposed memorandum of understanding for non-union craft personnel issued by sub-contractors on Friday.
A security officer at Bechtel gates also said no worker entered the site, while officials of Raghunathsingh and Paramount contractors declined to say whether their workers reported for duty.
Police kept watch outside the compound, as hundreds of workers gathered at the strike camp from as early as 4 am.
