T&T: Blame the beers

The fugitive killer said he did not know why he shot dead Devon Cox, 19, shot at Cox's father, put a gun to the head of one of Cox's sisters or why he shot Sandra Williams in the back of the neck.

"I was drunk", was the only thing he could tell Keisha Cox hours after the shooting spree. He also called his mother and told her he did not know why he killed Cox and that he wanted to give himself up. He said he was sorry and did not mean to do it.

The killing took place around 2 a.m. yesterday at Cocorite Terrace, Cocorite, after Cox and his killer friend left a christening where they had been drinking beers.

Cox is the third person shot dead in Cocorite since Saturday night when teenage brothers Allan Sterling and Elton Delice were killed after a baby shower at Harding Place.

The 23-year-old gunman said he had no reason to kill Cox, claimed he could not clearly remember what happened and that he was not sure what took place.

But Winston Cox told the Express, as he picked up pieces of his son's brains from a water tank, that he wants justice.

"I looking for what is fair. He supposed to be killed the same way he kill. These people making parents moan for their children," Winston shouted.
