Atg: May, no way!

With the 2004 Hurricane Season starting 1 June, the Antigua Hotels & Tourist Association (AHTA) has teamed up with the Caribbean Alliance for Sustainable Tourism (CAST) to organise and conduct a Hurricane Preparedness Workshop for hotel managers, supervisors and key operations staff.

Joining the hotel industry representatives at the Heritage Hotel today for the session will be Philmore Mullin, deputy director of the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS).

The one-day workshop will take the form of classroom sessions, providing highly participative planning simulation exercises.

The exercises will focus on how to prepare for and respond to a hurricane.
