Gya: Nurses want a $20K increase of meal allowance

It seems nurses aren't being fed enough in Guyana.

Guyanese nurses want a $20K increase of their $4K per moth meal allowance and staged a "sit-out" to emphasize the urgency of their demands.

"In the treatment rooms a skeleton staff attended to emergency cases."

The government had better hurry up and give the $20K to them.

Seriously, with a selling exchange rate of $189.58 G : $1 U.S, $20K works out to $105.50 U.S. It may not seem like much, but to an economy that's still striving, it's a lot.
