T&T: Paul's paying for all as Arthur's got Trinis vexed
Timmy and Rupee were the two Barbadian artistes performing at the fete but Rupee had the crowd, especially the women, literally eating out his hands when he sang "Tempted to Touch".
During Timmy's performance of "Bumper Ketch ah Fire" at the well attended fete, some members of the crowd, who were a few minutes before jumping and waving to the music of Roy Cape All Stars, went silent.
Patrons, especially those at the front of the stage, stood still with their arms folded.
Others shouted remarks such as "Go fry some flying fish" at Timmy while others asked for the next performer.
Timmy got off lightly with the crowd. At least they didn't wave rolls of toilet paper at him, as T&T crowds are prone to do when they're unhappy with a performer. But, then, Timmy was in the North; if he'd gone to Skinner's Park in the South, his toilet paper surely would've been booked.
