U.S.: Lent

Lent brings with it reflection on the ultimate and final sacrifice that is to come. It looks back to the Advent whose purpose is the Cross.

For the Church, there will be no Lenten Offensive, no bombs and blood of the innocent. Instead, the various denominations of the Church will find itself in prayer and reflection that Christ may strengthen us as we go through this vale of tears.

Some wear a bracelet that reads WWDJ? The question was answered more than 2000 years ago, and each Lent confronts us with that answer. Christ Jesus died for us.

So, for this period which ends in the Resurrection, I'll be posting a brief devotional daily.
