St. Lca: Dollar plane soars

A little over two weeks ago Sylvanus Ernest could not get his little Cessna 172 to leave St. Lucian soil and fly the blue yonder – simply because the directorate of civil aviation based in Antigua decided there was problem with the ownership of the aircraft.

This is the response he would get from the tower every time he attempted to take-off from the George F. L. Charles Airport.

By now everyone here knew the Cessna belonged to Sylvanus, as he had famously purchased it from its previous owners for the princely sum of $1.00 – the plane's ownership absolutely not in question.
