Ja: Run, Lightning, run

MONACO (CMC) - Phenomenal Jamaican teenager, Usain Bolt, has risen seven places and is the region's biggest mover in the IAAF world rankings this week.

Bolt, 17, is now up to 20th place in the men's 200 metres after his scintillating World Junior record performance of 19.93 seconds at the just concluded CARIFTA Championship in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Eclipsing his previous world Junior mark of 20.13 seconds he held with American, Roy Martin, Bolt's time is also a 2004 world best and makes him one of the early favourites for the Athens Olympics this summer.

His preparation for Athens will continue in July when he competes at the World Junior Championships in Grosseto, Italy.

Only Bahamian world indoor champion, Dominic Demeritte (7), and Jamaican Ricardo Williams (17), rank higher as Caribbean competitors in the 200 metres than Bolt.

The Caribbean's other teenage sprint sensation, Darrel Brown, of Trinidad & Tobago, maintains his eighth position ranking in the 100 metres, while Kittitian Kim Collins, the reigning world champion, is the highest ranked regional sprinter at number two in the 100 metres.
