Pnma: The seed shall crush the head of the serpent

In the past it was easy to recognize the colors of war. They came in great shades of mass destruction with tremendous loss of life scattered across places with names such as the Killing Fields of Cambodia, Battle of Al-Q'disiyah, Gettysburg, Kursk, Berlin, Hamburg, London, now New York, Washington, DC and too many more places to name. No one ever had to doubt the presence of war in the past due to the destruction, killing, loss of life and numerous great cities laid to waste.
...
What then after the last shot is fired? Is the enemy vanquished? This ongoing conflict in the Mideast is not like the aftermath of World War II when all the great cities of Germany and Japan were laid to ruin and the people of those countries felt in their soul that they were defeated and were happy to just be alive. To the contrary, none of the cities in Iraq were razed to the ground or devastated as in past conflicts. The people themselves had not been spiritually defeated or deprived of their will to wage war so there is no need to rejoice in the sheer magic of surviving a horrific event such as all out World War.

"Allah al Akabar" or God be praised is their response for they have been spared to fight another day, leaving them with the following thoughts:

"Know our fervor, for war hasn't been diminished nor stamped out and never will be. There are all too many souls to pick up the call to eject the infidels from our lands. The brotherhood of Islam is ready to stand with us to help make the intruders bleed and our philosophy is one blood to make many bleed. The war is ours --- it is just the infidels that don't yet know the color of our war as long as we avoid the open fields where we can be seen. There in the open the enemy can see us and we will know it is war, from the shadows we strike with no face and the hordes that demonstrate will reflect our will against their perspective governments: 'To wage peace not war;' 'Better Islamic than dead.' The battle front will always be of our choosing and on our terms with the aid of these imbecilic demonstrators. In the end, the victory will be ours, because we will take away their will to wage war. By the sheer constant attacks from the shadows, the relentless devastation of our suicide bombers who are willing to die for our belief."

The attacks come in many forms and disguises where the urban guerilla is their answer to mass infantry, hijacked airliners their answer to ballistic missiles, biological warfare their answer to weapons of mass destruction. Why, a sterile Petri dish and a few days processing gains a sleeper cell of terrorists the necessary weapons such as botulism, anthrax and many more agents that can be easily deployed into water treatment facilities. The implementation of such strategy over the course of years that the attacker is willing to wage this war will wear down the resolve of the west to respond in kind.

We, the great civilizations of the world, can be defeated from within and that is what the enemy of our western nations is counting on. One has only to crack the history books to note Rome's loss was decay from within. Complacency is being ignorantly self-assured in the fact that no force may defeat you in the open, while closing an eye to situations within national boundaries.

Already the masses around the world are crying for an appeasement policy to the Iraqi problem. If these same masses that are demonstrating were to parallel today's events with yesterday's history I think they would have to select the period from 1936 to the outbreak of World War II in 1939, with the invasion of Poland on September 1. Back then the world had Neville Chamberlain and his complacent attitude. Well, after hostilities started he was forced to resign in 1940. Would it have been different if Sir Winston had been at the helm in the pre-years to WWII? The world would have no doubt have been demonstrating against his heavy handed tactics toward the poor Germans while at the same time he would be averting global devastation that later became historic in proportions.

The parallel perhaps could be made between the main Coalition leadership. Which camp would you put President Bush and Tony Blair? That of Chamberlain or Churchill? With this same thought how does everyone feel Sir Winston Churchill would respond to the threat of the terrorists and 9/11? Everyone knows that he believed it was much better to fight over the enemies' land than in the skies over London. In the future the fight might not be over London but on the ground, in the streets and subways of all great cities.

In order to subdue a dangerous snake you can't slice off a piece of his tail. The head must go. So where do you find the head if the terrorist leaders can't be had? Perhaps it could be accomplished by utilizing a strategy that makes the enemy come to us.

Who is supporting these organizations and funding them or giving them places of refuge? Perhaps these denizens of the dark have a magic lantern they can extract their needed funds from and provide sustenance and protection for a place to plot from. No money, no action.

Should we do nothing and wait till the head of the serpent appears in Berlin? Supposition should demand that France will take care of it. I hope I didn't pluck a string of laughter at that suggestion. They are very much involved with what is going on and I would assume that their interests go much deeper than Euros. On that note, I think the world will sigh with relief when this new European Union has a Polish president with Germany acquiescing to that administration. Until now it seems France has run the show, with their lapdog barking their desires.

The advantage of how, when and where is guaranteed to the terrorist through the pressure now being laid against the only force that is capable to combat it, leaving to the Fanatic Islamic Knight when and to what degree the next offensive will take place. They are counting on the liberal ideas allowed in most democratic societies for their major support. When anyone who cares can read the Koran and discover for themselves what it dictates. The dictates to the masses are simple. All the lands must be cleansed of infidels. The instructions are easy to understand; either convert or be destroyed.

The installation of a new Caliph is paramount in some peoples thought. Who is to emerge as Caliph of the Arabic peoples to spread Islamic fundamentalism throughout the world? A recent book, "An Islamic Conspiracy for World Conquest," by author Ahmed Mohammed suggests that Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia is in the front row, followed by Mubarak of Egypt, vying for position to quietly and secretly lead the Muslim World to global domination. Further, it is proposed in his book that Western leaders are too inept to see the deception of these two leaders in regards to their true feelings toward the West. Perhaps a fifth column needs to be looked for in some other place beside everyone's backyard. Looking elsewhere for the unidentified enemy may be the first step in understanding the Arabic intent behind today's problems.

Panama is ripe for terrorist attack. What preparation is the Panamanian administration undertaking to safeguard one of Panama's greatest assets, the canal, or its harbors in general? Are they boarding and inspecting ships with trained dogs if need be? Checking manifests to see if they visually match what is in the cargo holds? Is the government safeguarding the harbors by using preventive action measures to insure more safety or are we presented with numerous instances such as the tanker that docks at Panama Ports pier 16 in Colon a couple of times a month loaded with LP? The ship is professionally docked with care on the East Side of dock 16. If the follower of some Islamic Fundamentalist group wishes to put an RPG (rocket propelled grenade) into the side of the tanker it would most assuredly be devastating to Colon.

Why wait until they there is a need to react? For example, until after a shipload of ammonium nitrate fertilizer is detonated in the middle lock at Gatun, thus taking the canal out of service for years. The Americans never believed that the World Trade Center would be destroyed. Just think of all the millions of dollars that can be saved in committees and independent councils if we act now and not later.

So do we sit by and calmly wait to find out where the head of the serpent may next be revealed, or do we think about what can be done today to stop the conflict where it is? It should be the hopes and desires of us all that author Ahmed Mohammed's dire prediction for man's future never culminates into a historical fact of our future.
