USVI: Requiescat in pacem

A Virgin Islander has died while serving abroad in the U.S. military as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The serviceman, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Kendall Thomas, suffered severe chest and head injuries in a truck accident in Baghdad in which he was the driver and subsequently died on Wednesday, Gov. Charles Turnbull said in a statement released Thursday evening.
...
He was married last October, and his wife, Pamela, is also serving with the U.S. military in Iraq in a separate division from her husband. In the wake of Thomas' death, family members said she is returning this week to the U.S. mainland.
May Christ Jesus comfort Sgt. Thomas's family, and may he rest in peace.
