Bdos: The Church will go on

IT WAS AN OCCASION laced with pride when 60 children received their first communion at the St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Bay Street, yesterday.

The children — girls wearing all-white outfits and boys in suits — made their way into church amidst singing by obviously delighted parents, relatives and the general congregation.

This service was the culmination of a special period of preparation. Last week, they also had their first confession.
