Ja: Barty man case at trial

SPANISH TOWN, St Catherine - Resident Magistrate Lorna Gayle will make another attempt on June 22 to determine what really happened between two St Catherine men on May 2.

Christopher Pierre has been charged with buggery, while Ricardo Williams has been charged with felonious wounding. They were given bail in the sum of $80,000 and $40,000, respectively, when they appeared before the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

The court was told that the two men became involved in an altercation during their journey to visit a mutual friend. The altercation, the court was told, stemmed from Pierre's unwelcome sexual advances toward Williams.

The court was told, Tuesday, that Pierre, who was driving, forced Williams to have sex with him in the car at knife-point; and after the sexual act, Williams used the same knife to stab Pierre in his chest.

The wounded man sought help at a nearby house and was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital. Both men were later arrested and charged.
Look at the bail amounts. Lesson: better you wound a man than you bugger him.
