U.S. - New York: Taking Kids Out of Distracting Urban Environments Often Helps Them Succeed


How well will students learn if daily they return to an environment of crime and drugs? Many, if not most, students will fall by the wayside, drop out and fall victims to drugs and crime.

Some students have been lucky enough to take advantage of programs that remove them completely from that environment. They usually succeed and move up in life. That is part of the criticism. They move up, and sometimes out of the communities that would need them to return after receiving an education.
