"The brilliance of William Shakespeare's blood-curdling tale of murder and betrayal, returns to the Cathedral Cultural Centre this weekend, as Island Academy school puts on a repeat performance of 'Macbeth Rocks.'
"Last December, the school recreated the chilling play with a few modern twists and received rave reviews.
"Chief Education Officer Dr. Austin Josiah at the time said, 'This presentation was great. It was laced with excitement, anticipation, intrigue and humour, with simple special effects, bright students, a good script and good acting'."
Wonderful how ol' Willie remains in vogue after almost 400 years. How much of today's literature will still be celebrated 400 years from now? Not much, I'd fathom. I read an insightful article from the Atlantic Monthly a year or so ago about the decline in today's literature; as soon as I find it, I'll post the link and info. Folks don't know how to write anymore.
