T&T: Manning's answer to Sat
Sat Maharaj, the secretary general of the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha, is making a big bassi-bassa over Cro-Cro's Face Reality, which "calls for the kidnapping of corrupt businessmen and politicians."
Maharaj said, "When someone promotes kidnapping and crime in a country, it is always the business of the Prime Minister. He is responsible for National Security of the country and he is in charge of the Security Council."
Manning's response? He is not "a corrupt businessman or corrupt politician and he would be the last to intervene in the calypso art form."
Manning has precedent established by Eric E. Williams who was reputed to have said, in response to Chalkdust's calypso blows at his government, "let the jackass sing."
