Bdos: Bajans cry fowl

Barbadians could be paying more for chicken following a temporary “bird flu” import ban on poultry and eggs from the United States and Canada.

President of the Egg and Poultry Producers’ Association, Carlyle Brathwaite, told MIDWEEK NATION last night that Barbados imports no poultry meat from the United States, but the industry would now have to look further afield to disease-free countries to source hatching eggs.
