The PM highlighted some of the developments in the missing document scandal. However, he stressed the need for patience.

"I understand the impatience and the anger of those who are mystified at why there has not yet been any arrest and prosecution of persons against whom prima facie cases of crimes against the people clearly exist," he said.

PM Spencer continued: "This, despite the fact that the police have recovered scores of files improperly removed from the office of the prime minister and from other government premises, which have been found in people's houses."

After being sworn into office, PM Spencer alerted the country that the cabinets and drawers of the prime minister's office had beenfound to be devoid of files.

Since that time, the prime minister has instructed the police to launch a full-scale investigation into the whereabouts of the missing government documents.
