Blz: Thousand Foot Falls a national monument

The pristine wonder that is the ‘Thousand Foot Falls’ and densely forested hillsides shrouded in mist provided a spectacular stage this morning, as Minister in charge of Belize’s natural resources and environment Johnny Briceno officially declared the falls a Natural Monument. It was a beautiful day, an important day in Belize’s history, as one more of our nation’s treasures has been preserved and protected for many generations of Belizeans and foreigners to treasure.
