Ja: What the gov't gwine do

THE MINISTRY of National Security, strapped for cash, will be using the proceeds from assets seized under the Forfeiture of Assets legislation to finance repairs of derelict police stations.

National Security Minister Dr. Peter Phillips told the Standing Finance Committee of Parliament on Tuesday that the initiative had already received Cabinet approval.

This, he explained, was one innovation being applied to the perennial problem of poor maintenance of police stations.
