Gya: Guyanese chickens for TT pots

Guyana's poultry industry has been certified by U.S. authorities as having met the required sanitary and other standards. In addition, said Minister Sawh, Guyana is currently exporting beef to one CARICOM country.

The big and burning question is will there be a corresponding decline in the price per pound for chicken -- especially in light of the very favorable TT-Gya exchange rate? If TTians have to pay more to put a bird in the pot, then somebody will be scamming buyers.
