Gya: Talk about bold and brass

THE continuing saga surrounding city businessman Reeaz Khan and his controversial sexual relationship with a 13-year-old took a new turn yesterday when he filed a perjury charge against the girl’s mother.

Khan, himself a defendant in a related abduction case, swore to information before Chief Magistrate Juliet Holder-Allen who has issued a summons to Bibi Shameeza Hamid.

Particulars of the offence charged against Hamid said she, being a deponent in a notice of motion, on June 7 at Georgetown, knowingly and falsely stated in a sworn affidavit that a marshal served an order by High Court Judge B.S. Roy on Khan at his Lot 37 Camp Street business place, Reeaz Trading Enterprise.
