PR: Diesel dump in Arecibo

ARECIBO (AP) – Authorities on Wednesday began an investigation into the illegal dumping of diesel fuel in the waters adjacent to a dock in the El Vigia sector in Arecibo.

The Police said the officers from the Maritime Unit of the Natural and Environmental Resources Department and Environmental Quality Board were deployed to the scene.

The spill was noticed at around 7:00 Wednesday morning near two docked vessels, which were discarded as the source of the spill as they operated on gasoline.
