Gya: Gajraj and the visa thing

Is this why Guyana's Minister of Home Affairs, Ronald Gajraj's visa has been withdrawn by Canada and the U.S.?

"George Bacchus brought his allegations to the fore after the fatal shooting of his brother Shafeek Bacchus early January. He believes that his brother was mistakenly killed for him. He first took the allegations to the United States Embassy and has since repeatedly spoken to sections of the media. Bacchus also levelled several allegations against the Home Affairs Minister, Ronald Gajraj."

Furthermore, the opposition PNCR Leader Robert Corbin informed President Jagdeo, in writing that he had "credible statements" implicating Minister Gajraj. Yet, when President Jagdeo, in writing, encouraged Mr. Corbin to publicise his proof and to inform the police, Corbin "implied that divulging information to the police isn't his job."

What is this? Corbin wants to lead the opposition, but he doesn't want to be a good citizen. Is the ghost of Walter Rodney hovering in the air soemwhere? Is the police force in Guyana so corrupt that Corbin felt he had to publish his proof abroad before bringing it back home for action? Is Robert Corbin, in essence, afraid of becoming another Walter Rodney?

How will the Guyanese government handle this scandal after "PNCR Leader Robert Corbin has written to the CARICOM Heads of Government on the issue. He has also taken it overseas"?

Some serious investigation is needed either to clear Minister Gajraj or to jail him. One way or the other, this whole business must be swiftly addressed.
