TT: Bugger jailed for seven years

A man convicted of buggery has been sent to jail for seven years.

Radesh Ramdial was yesterday found guilty of buggering an 18 year old man in 2002.

Justice Anthony Carmona handed down the sentence in the Port of Spain High Court, saying that the proliferation of sexual offences in the country is becoming almost a daily occurrence.

He told Mr. Ramdial that his victim would remain in an emotional and psychological prison for the rest of his life because of the heinous act.

He said it was a gross violation of the human personality.
