U.S.: Annan thinks genocide might occur in Sudan

After almost 2 million Christians and animists have been slaughtered by Muslims in Sudan, Kofi Annan now has this to say:

a Rwanda-style genocide may be in the making in Sudan and said international military force could be needed -- a suggestion at once rejected by the Khartoum government.

The U.N. Secretary-General issued his warning in a speech in Geneva on the 10th anniversary of the Rwanda genocide in which about 800,000 died. He left no doubt he feared something similar might be under way in west Sudan, where U.N. officials say "ethnic cleansing" is carried out.

"The international community cannot stand idle," declared Annan, who has himself acknowledged more should have been done to halt the orgy of killing in Rwanda in 1994.

"The risk of genocide remains frighteningly real."
What alternate reality is this idiot existing in? 2 million people have been butchered in Sudan; 800K were slaughtered in Rwanda. The numbers in Sudan are almost 3 times that in Rwanda, and Kofi Talk-them-to-death Annan fears that genocide might be under way in west Sudan.

What does the Muslim government of Sudan say?
Sudan immediately rejected any outside military help but welcomed offers of aid for the region, where the United Nations is warning of a humanitarian crisis caused by a conflict it says has affected one million people.

"We don't think we need outside military help and we do our best according to the available resources," Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Osman Ismail told reporters in Khartoum.

"All that we want from the international community is that it helps us with more supplies of humanitarian aid so that we can try and help those in need."
What? They want more aid so that they can feed the murderers they have killing out Christians and animists? Damn straight they're doing their best with what they have. Without aid, they've managed to kill 2 million who refuse to believe as they do -- and no mention yet of the numbers of the mutilated and enslaved. Who in their right mind thinks that these people would extend aid to the "infidels" they're busy killing, unless it's as an inducement to convert to Islam? Since the majority of Christian Sudanese reject the conversion, they die.

What is the Bush Administration doing? Pretty much what the Clinton administration did for Rwanda. Nothing. The Bush administration is focusing on diplomatic talk whilst Sudanese Christians and animists continue to be enslaved, mutilated, raped, and slaughtered by the Muslims who govern the country.

Here from Dhimmi Watch is the story of a Sudanese Christian, Joseph, who was crucified by his Muslim "master." This is but a short excerpt, read the rest of it.
As a 7-year-old, Joseph, then called Santino Garang, was sold to his master, Ibrahim. Though Joseph was given an Arab name, Ibrahim referred to him only by the pejorative "Abid," which means black slave, writes Phillips. For ten years, Joseph remained in bondage to his master.

"During his enslavement …," Phillips wrote, "he was often beaten, tortured and abused by his Arab master. African slaves, especially Christians, are viewed as lower than animals.

"Joseph was raised Christian. His desire to worship was mocked by his master, who told him every day for 10 years that he had no business worshipping since he was of no more value than a donkey."

One Sunday morning, Joseph heard the hymn singing of a Christian service. He joined into the worship, remembering church services from when he was a young boy.

While Joseph was at church, some of the camels he was in charge of escaped, and his master flew into a rage. Ibrahim, Phillips writes, "swore he would kill Joseph and do to him what had been done to Jesus ... he would crucify him.
There's a special place in hell reserved for these barbarians.
