St. Maart: Komproe's outta there!

WILLEMSTAD-Antillean Justice Minister Ben Komproe (FOL) has been officially dismissed, based on the motion of no confidence passed against him in Parliament. Caretaker Minister of Transport and Communication Richard Salas, who has spent more time in the hospital than on the job so far, has taken over Justice in the outgoing Louisa-Godett Cabinet, as exploratory tasks on forming a new coalition continue.

Deputy Prime Minister Errol Cova (PLKP) confirmed that Governor Goedgedrag had intervened and chaired an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers to have Komproe dismissed, "because it did not look like Prime Minister Mirna Louisa-Godett (FOL) was in a hurry to sign the decree."
